For Birth Mothers

Have you ever met another birth mother?

On Your Feet Foundation Northern California was created to honor the choice you made to place your child for adoption and to provide you with the support you may need to achieve peace and success in your life. On Your Feet is here for you! We are not affiliated with any adoption agency or other organization that facilitates the placement of children for adoption. We provide peer support, mentoring, therapeutic retreats, and educational and counseling grants.

Who We Serve

Any parent who has placed a child for adoption may participate in our peer support programs. Support and services are available only after the adoption plan has been finalized. We provide informal opportunities for birth parents to connect with each other, share common experiences and inspire each other. This might include a picnic at a local park or a workshop specifically designed for birth mothers.

On Your Feet is an equal opportunity service provider and employer. We prohibit discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, political belief, gender, gender expression, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental disability, veteran status, and marital status.

We provide additional services and assistance to birth mothers who currently live in California or who have placed a child for adoption in California. Once you have joined OYFF, you will be contacted by our Birth Mother Services Coordinator to find out how we can best support you. This might include being matched with a mentor, attending a retreat just for birth mothers or applying for an educational or counseling scholarship.

If you choose, our Birth Mother Service Coordinator will match you with a mentor who can assist you in creating a goal plan, researching educational or vocational programs, applying for a grant or simply providing you with support along your journey. For more information about being matched with a mentor, please email
